The Trojan Horse The Achaeans battered their heads against the walls of Troy and were continuously repulsed for a decade. The breakthrough came when they used the Trojan Horse to breach the defenses of Troy through subterfuge and then destroyed the city and slaughtered its people completely. That is an old fable. Nothing new. In my opinion Huawei’s 5G is the modern Trojan Horse being used by China to enter the life stream of India to subjugate and destroy it. That is the new story. We need to be aware of this. Well why am I saying this? There are reports that Huawei has been cleared by a set of experts to enter the Indian fray. It is now all set to enter India since it will meet all criteria and will be L1 by hook or crook. If it happens it will signal the end of Indian independence as we know it. The US- Iran Spat in Brief On 31 Dec 2019, supporters of Iran backed militia attacked the US embassy in Baghdad. It was in retaliation to an US airstrike on a camp of  an Iran backed Hezbollah offshoot group which resulted in the death of 25 fighter’s [1] . USA retaliated by an armed UAV attack which targeted and killed Maj Gen Soleimani, head of the Iranian Quds Force in Bagdad on 3 Jan 2020. It triggered a national outpour in Iran which vowed appropriate revenge. On 8 Jan 2020, Iran fired 16 missiles at two air US bases in Iraq and claimed it to be a slap in the US face [2] .  President Trump tweeted “all is well” .  Reports indicate that the attacks  deliberately missed their targets. Later in a televised follow up address , the US President  pledged not to allow Iran to acquire nuclear capability and warned it against future terrorism or destabilizing actions in the region .
