India’s Three Front Strategy by Lt Gen P R Shankar(R)

India’s geostrategic environment has changed significantly in the past one month. A Talibani Afghanistan, a hybrid Pakistan and an authoritarian China – all in flux, present a new geostrategic challenge beyond the ordinary conception that terrorists will flood the Valley. There is a new Afghanistan- Pakistan- China axis on the block.  This axis has tremendous interdependencies to achieve their interests. The issue with this new axis is that it is extremely inimical to Indian core interests.  In this context, India will hereafter face a three front situation. India and Its Last Bastion at 74 By Lt Gen P R Shankar (R)

Freedom is something that money  can’t buy; it’s the result of the  struggles of many brave hearts. Let us honor them today and always.  🇮🇳Happy Independence Day!🇮🇳 I ndian Armed Forces are required to safeguard India’s national interests which are enshrined in our constitution. Also, we need to reflect if our collective aspirations as a rising power are achievable in the context of the prevalent geopolitical environment, it...

The Neighbourhood Watch : Afghanistan and Pakistan

In this edition of the 'Neighbourhood Watch',  Aadi and I discuss the evolving situation   in Afghanistan, its effect on Pakistan and what should India's outlook be. Very clearly there are  opportunities ahead as there are pitfalls. We need to evolve clear strategies to navigate the rocky road ahead.

Neighbourhood Watch : Srilanka, Nepal and Myanmar

The 'Neighbourhood Watch' is beginning to become an interesting program. Even in its second edition, I have started enjoying it. There are so many interesting issues which are cropping up on our periphery.  In future we will be granulating matters  and coming up with greater clarity on our neighbours and their issues so that India can help them out. One thing is clear, wherever we go, the elephant in the room is China. Need to chase it away!  If you have a different opinion or a different issue which needs highlighting kindly let us know. We will go into it.
