National Security doesn’t come cheap not where India is. The Nation must bear this burden. Paucity of funds will remain a constant. It is the Governments call to have an Army, Air Force and Navy it wants. It is not for the Armed Forces to self-finance  modernization by some arbitrary age or organisational amendments. It is also not for the Government to reorganise the Armed Forces for nation building at the cost of the primary task of defending the nation. Aadi and I had an in-depth discussion on the neighbourhood and the crises which are affecting each one of them. 

Everyone in India has an opinion on Pakistan and its status. We are all experts on Pakistan. However, we need to see Pakistan from a Pakistani point of view. Look at it from any side  – army, politics, economics or judicial – everyone is against the other -Pakistan vs Pakistan - at its very prime time best. Each actor is trying to consolidate his position. While all this is going on, Pakistan is getting hit in Waziristan on a daily basis. Simultaneously, they are worried about the QUAD also.  I hope that readers have noticed one thing recently…the great geostrategic location theory about Pakistan is all a hoax…no one has bothered about in the recent past despite that fact the global upheavals are taking place.     This is a follow up of my article @  https://www.gunnersshot.com/2022/04/a-peek-into-everyday-china-revenge-of.html   China has a long and ugly history of famine, displacement, and civil unrest. The social contract between the government and the people is that the CCP ensures a steady improvement in quality of life, and people  won't quibble too much about the path that which takes them there. That is why Chinese don't rise up against the CCP. As far as there is constant improvement ,even if it is incremental in nature, they remain satisfied. While Chinese make much about their revenge against the humiliation of colonialism they are also worried about the of humiliation of poverty and hunger. In a primal sense , hunger and lack of food worries them.  This is inbuilt in their psyche. The topic of ‘food security’ comes far too much into news and debate. Anything which upsets the overall social balance in China worries the CCP. Their ticket to power is threatened. In this cont
