IT GIVES ME A GREAT SENSE OF PRIDE THAT 'GUNNERS SHOT' HAS HAD ITS 'MILLIONTH VIEWER' TODAY MORNING. PLEASE SEE THE TABLE BELOW.
I STARTED THE BLOG IN MARCH 2019 WHEN SOME OF MY ARTICLES WERE REJECTED BY NATIONAL MEDIA AND REPUTED PLATFORMS. THEY PROBABLY FELT THAT MY ARTICLES DO NOT DESERVE SPACE IN THEIR PUBLICATIONS. HOWEVER I THANK THEM FOR NUDGING ME TO STRIKE OUT ON MY OWN.
SO I SET MY OWN STANDARDS.
I ALSO COULD NOT COMPROMISE IN PUTTING ACROSS MY VIEW POINT THE WAY I FELT IT WAS NECESSARY FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW. I CHOSE TO BE UNBIASED AND EXPRESS WHAT IS GOOD FOR INDIA WITHOUT ANY COLOURING.
I HAVE ALSO FELT THAT IT IS IMPORTANT FOR EVERY INDIAN TO KNOW WHAT IS RELEVANT FOR OUR SECURITY IN AS SIMPLE TERMS AS POSSIBLE. IT IS ONLY THEN THAT HE WILL BE ABLE TO APPRECIATE AND SUPPORT THE ARMED FORCES IN THEIR ENDEAVOUR TO PROTECT OUR NATION. OUR MEN AND OFFICERS WHO ARE SERVING ARE THE BEST AND DESERVE OUR GRATITUDE FOR ENSURING THAT WE ARE SAFE AND SOUND AS WE PROGRESS AS ONE OF THE GREATEST DEMOCRACIES OF THE WORLD.
IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT FOR THOSE IN POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO GET A FEEDBACK ON VARIOUS ISSUES SO THAT THEY ARE ENABLED TO TAKE THE CORRECT DECISIONS FOR ALL OF US. IT IS EASY TO BE CRITICAL IT IS TOUGH TO BE SUPPORTIVE WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN. I HAVE CONSCIOUSLY ENDEAVOURED TO RENDER VIEWS WHICH WILL ENABLE THOSE IN THE HOT SEATS TO DRIVE BETTER AND SAFER.
THE SATISFYING PART IS ALSO THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ MY BLOG HAVE ENDORSED WHAT I HAVE BEEN WRITING. THIS ENDORSEMENT IS NOT IN THE NUMBERS ALONE. PEOPLE ACROSS THE WORLD HAVE VIEWED 'GUNNERS SHOT'.
I SINCERELY THANK EACH AND EVERYONE WHO ARE FOLLOWING THIS BLOG.
IT IS BECAUSE OF EACH ONE OF YOU THAT WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE THIS MILESTONE.
I ALSO THANK ALL THOSE WHO HAVE TAKEN TIME TO PUT IN THEIR COMMENTS, WHICH HAVE LARGELY BEEN POSITIVE AND ENCOURAGING EACH COMMENT REINFORCED MY VIEW THAT I WAS ON THE CORRECT PATH. FURTHER MANY COMMENTS WERE CONTRARY TO MY VIEWS. CONTRARIAN COMMENTS MADE ME REFLECT MORE. IN A DEMOCRACY AS VIBRANT AS OURS THAT IS SIMPLY GREAT.
IN ALL CASES EACH AND EVERYONE WHO HAVE READ THIS BLOG, HAVE MOTIVATED ME TO CONTINUE WRITING TO THE BEST OF MY CAPABILITY.
